Why an Algarve Vacation?
If a vacation, as defined by a dictionary is: 'leisure time away from work devoted to rest or pleasure', then one taken in Algarve must be the epitome of that term.
The southern-most region of Portugal, Algarve is a holiday-maker's dream. Wonderful year-round weather, great beaches, fabulous scenery and - best of all - the local people!
Algarveans are a tolerant, laid-back lot, who have seen much change in the several decades since their region started to become a tourist magnet. Some of the age-old ways of life (such as small-scale fishing) continue undisturbed by the leisure-seeking visitors who are drawn to this lovely area.
Most who sample the attractions of Algarve become converted enthusiasts. If you love warm places, sand and sea and generally relaxed holidays, then Algarve is your dream destination.
It's a compact area, only some 90 miles by 30 miles at its furthest extremities - but it's home to over 100 miles of gorgeous sandy beaches.
While, for those who don't mind leaving the coast behind for a while, the region is steeped in history, and has much to delight the visitor's eye. Much of the Algarve's heritage has been preserved, especially in the profusion of Moorish-influenced architecture on show. And the contrasts, between coast and mountains, sand and greenery, modernity and history, offer visitors many choices of how to spend an Algarve vacation.
The region's ancient past is positively celebrated, and most sizeable towns boast a local museum that shows relics from Roman times - and even earlier.
Algarveans are proud of their distinct culture and some of the diversion on offer to the holiday-maker is even free (concerts and gallery admissions spring to mind from my last visit). Whatever the month of year, there's usually a Saint's day that gives rise to a colourful festival, in which the locals take a whole-hearted part.
Public transport within the region is efficient and cheap, which serves to keep the tourist dollars and Euros circulating, while allowing holiday-makers to sample more than just the tourist areas.
Even a tour of either the western or eastern halves of Algarve can be undertaken within a single day (though it helps to have your itinerary sorted before you set out). And a meal at an inland restaurant during the return journey to your holiday accommodation will likely prove cheaper than one taken in the tourist-populated coastal areas (a bonus for the more adventurous tourist!).
Am I keen to get back there soon? You bet!
Which leads me to a rather obvious question: why am I sitting here writing this, instead of making a booking with my friendly local travel agent?

Sit Back and Relax on a Crewed Yacht Charter Vacation
Ever wanted to really put yourself to the test and teach yourself how to sail and guide a yacht? On a crewed yacht charter voyage, you can do just that – and more – while taking turns at the helm and seeing the sights of your specially planned destination.
Unlike other ocean yachts, a crewed charter yacht vacation allows you to be more independent and make more choices about your trip. For example, you’ll set your own pace by choosing your itinerary and the activities you prefer, instead of going along with the crowd; you can even decide to go “off chart” and head in a new direction.
This kind of yacht vacation includes, of course, the boat, its captain and crew, the chef, who will prepare your favorite meals at your request; and a standard bar, with your choice of wines or liqueurs readily available. With all the freedom you want on the wide-open ocean, the price, starting generally around $1300 per person per week, is a really good deal when you consider that everything is set up entirely to suit your preferences.
You can be alone, or you can mingle with the crew. It’s all up to you – it’s your own private yachting trip, whether you choose crewed yacht charters on a sailboat, motorboat, or a yacht.
Also, you’ll need to plan where you want to go, of course! Popular destinations for crewed yacht charters are to the South of France or to the Cannes Film Festival; the Mediterranean; the Caribbean, Alaska, New England, or even Canal Barge Yacht Cruises in France! Closer to home, Florida and the Bahamas are also excellent choices.
Whatever you decide, a crewed yacht charter vacation will be one you and your family or friends will remember for years to come. Pick up a travel brochure, choose a spot, and sail away for a week of pure, hedonistic FUN!

California Vacations - What You Haven’t Seen
It is understandable why California attracts a lot of people. There it is warm and sunny most part of the year, Los Angeles is full of movie stars, rollerblading babes can be found all over the place in Venice Beach. Even if it is exaggerated, this part of the California mystique is real and not very hard to find.
But California has other things too, that are not scripted, sanitized, and broadcast to the mesmerized masses of the world. The glitter and glamour are only the surface of an incredibly diverse state that would be a productive and powerful nation in the event of ever getting separated from the Union. California has it all: redwood forests, an incredibly verdant Central Valley, the Sierra Nevada, deserts, a lot of well-known cities, and hundreds of miles of beautiful coastline.
Despite the crime, pollution, traffic, and earthquakes, which have made California famous as well, people here are still the golden children of the United States, America's spoiled rich kid that is either loved or loathed by everyone. (In Oregon, for example, they sell lots of license-plate rims stating "I hate California.") To be perfectly sincere, people here don’t really care. Californians are aware of the fact that they live in one of the most interesting places in the world, and they're proud of their state. Nobody can guarantee you that you'll meet Arnold Schwarzenegger or learn how to surf here, but with a little time, a little money, and an adventurous spirit, you will be guided by us and offered one of the most fulfilling vacations of your life. The four of us do nothing but travel, but we chose to live in California because this place has so much to offer.

Block Island – Memorable Vacations Are Made of This
Block Island is a seaside jewel lying 12 miles off the southern coast of Rhode Island. This is a place where nature clings to every pond, stone-walled trail, beach, and everything in between. It’s a paradise for cyclists and a haven for those ready to leave the trappings and demands of the mainland behind.
Most people take the ferry from Port Judith which takes one hour and plants you in the hub of Block Island at Old Harbor. A Seasonal ferry service also runs from Newport RI and Montauk NY.
Coming to the Island is a shift in time, with its rugged undeveloped reserves… and open field farmlands… and narrow roads lined with stone walls and wild roses. Block Islands invites you to relax in dress and time. It’s a chance for you to rediscover nature again.
Here’s suggested destinations to help you enjoy Block Island to its fullest…
THE VIEW FROM MOHEGAN BLUFFS…
You don’t want to miss the view from Mohegan Bluffs. Take the Mohegan Trail from the village of Old Harbor out to the Bluffs.
Mohegan Bluffs overlook the southern coast of Block Island, and on a clear day you can see Montauk, NY on Long Island, about 18 miles away. The cliff’s tower 200 feet above the shoreline and offer stunning views of the landscape and the Southeast Light. A steep set of wooden steeps leads down to the beach below.
THE BLOCK ISLAND LIGHTHOUSES
Block Island has two lighthouses: Southeast Light and North Light.
Southeast Light sits atop Mohegan Bluffs and was moved back from a perilous position on the cliffs in 1993. This is an attractive redbrick lighthouse built in 1875, and contains a museum inside for you to explore.
North Light is at Sandy Point on the northern tip pf Block Island. This is the fourth lighthouse in this location and was built in 1867. Two of the previous lights were washed away and the third was dismantled because its position did more harm than good.
North Light is within the boundaries of the Block Island National Wildlife Refuge, and that’s where we were heading anyway…
BLOCK ISLAND NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE
Located on the North End of Block Island the refuge is now a 127-acre habitat for wildlife and for visitors to enjoy the wonder of this natural environment.
If you’re a bird-watcher then the fall season offers a spectacular opportunity to view migratory birds, especially songbirds. Bring your camera and binoculars for a very special trip to a very special refuge.
The shoreline area runs from Settler’s Rock to Sandy point and the North Light, and then from here to Great Salt Pond. This is an ideal area for walking, bird watching, and breathtaking views.
BLOCK ISLAND BEACHES & PONDS
Block Island beaches are the first stop for many first time visitors. The choices are many and varied. It has 17 pristine miles of gorgeous beaches.
The two-mile Crescent Beach area consists of four beaches: Frederick J. Benson Beach, Scotch Beach, Mansion Beach, and close to the ferry landing is Ballard’s. These tend to be the most popular, but don’t forget just a few minutes bike ride away are deserted beaches, where you can enjoy your own spot of peace and harmony.
For such a tiny area, Block Island boasts an amazing 365 ponds – that’s right… one for every day of the year. So as you bike and hike around the island, it doesn’t matter where you’re at… you’re only a few feet away from water.
Permits are required to fish the freshwater ponds.
Other things to do on Block Island include: visits to Manisses Animal Petting Zoo, Settler’s Rock, located at the end of Corn Neck Road near a beach on Rhode Island Sound - the rock marks the landing point of European settlers of Block Island in 1661, and kayaking in New Harbor.
While Block Island is a great place to visit for the day, you’ll get more time to enjoy the island if you stay overnight, or even longer, at any of the varied lodging available. But advanced booking is a must.
Inns and bed and breakfasts abound on the island, with many located near the village of Old Harbor and nearby New Harbor. For more information on inns and bed and breakfast accommodation check out www.blockisland.com.

Alaska Cruise Or Land Tour For A Vacation That Warms Your He
Besides its reputation for being "cold", what else do you
know about our 49th State? Alaska has an abundance of things
to do and see, whether you are a first time vacationer or a
returning traveler. There is no other place like Alaska for
traveling and exploring. Alaska is 586,000 square miles.
With an area that big, think about the possibilities.
Here are just a few of the attractions that are available
and are sure to whet your appetite for adventure. Wildlife
viewing, helicopter tours, and train rides are very popular.
You can also relax on a bus tour into Denali State Park,
watch a totem pole being carved, or try your luck at
catching one of Alaska’s world famous King Salmon.
It would take (2) lifetimes to experience everything Alaska
has to offer. With its vast wilderness, Alaska provides
opportunities for viewing wildlife either up close or from
far away, in its natural habitat. For example, Alaska holds
the distinction of having the largest Eagle population in
the world. Whether you are a nature lover or not, just
seeeing these magnificent birds soar throught the air is
enough to take your breath away. With a wilderness area that
is 2 1/2 times the size of the state of Texas, you can be
guaranteed excellent photo opportunities.
It's hard to believe that Alaska has the largest temperate
rain forest in the United States. Take the time to walk in
it and discover this incredible gift. Indescribable
adventures await you whereever your journey takes you in
Alaska. Every "ice-blue" glacier and historic waterfront
town calls for you to jump in to explore and discover its
uniqueness and beauty. Give yourself the freedom to answer
this "call of the wild". In every city from Anchorage to
Fairbanks and beyond, there's plenty to do and see.
One of the ways to see this beautiful state is to cruise the
Inner Passage. Taking one of the cruise ships is a simple
way to get your feet wet and explore the state. You have the
security of knowing that your basic needs like food,
transportation, and your lodging is handled while you have
the freedom of choosing any number of activities.
Depending on the town you stop in, you can choose to go
whale watching, or take a helicopter trip and walk on a
glacier. You can ride the White Pass Railroad or pan for
gold. You can even take a Jeep tour on a logging trail and
top it off with a salmon bake. Also, every town appears to
have their own special and historical events happening on a
regular basis and you definitely want to catch these, as
well. There are also many fascinating museums and remember
to save time to see the stunning Aurora Borealis, especially
if you go in the fall.
Alaska seems to have it all. From world famous Parks &
Preserves to Volcanos. From Historical & Annual Events and
everything in between. With such variety, it’s surprising
that anyone would look anywhere but north when vacation time
comes. Alaska is a great American Vacation destination that
you will want to experience for yourself at least once in
your lifetime.

What you need to know about - Camping Vacations
Camping is a delightful and adventurous way to spend your vacations. Camping basically means living in tents that are pitched on specific grounds. The biggest advantage of camping is the cost saving. You can have a good vacation within your budget. For you will have to spend least on accommodation. While if you go for stay in hotels, a large chunk of your money is gone in paying for per day rent of your room. On the top of it camping is not associated with troubles like what type and class of room to take, how much will be too much for this etc. Camping also takes you away from all such hurly-burly of the big hotels and lends you the opportunity to follow your style.
If you are willing to go for camping then don’t think twice. For the fares to camp on grounds are as low as around ten to twenty five dollar per night. All you have to do is select the place or ground you want to camp. This information can be collected through the internet. The best and most popular site is www.nps.gov . The ‘nps’ stands for the National Park Service. Most of the camping grounds are under it. The site will inform you fully about the fees, the locations, the rules and regulations, which slightly vary from ground to ground. There can be several parameters to decide which camping ground you want to go for. These can be the activities involved like some might prefer fishing grounds to rafting, horse riding, boating, hiking or even a serene and romantic ground. Others may give preference to the amenities. For instance the ground that provides the best facilities in terms of water, toilets, parking etc. might be their top priority. A class of people might also just look at the costs involved. So at the end of the day it is entirely at you and your family’s discretion where to pitch the tent.
The moment you decide the grounds, make a list of the things that you need to pack. This should be cross checked with the services that will be provided to you at the camp site. For instance, if the camp site facilitates you with hygienic drinking water all round the clock then you need not carry too many water bottles with you. However, there are certain things that are too important to be ignored by you. Some of which are sleeping bag for every member of your family, toiletries, cookware, plates, silverware, towels, trash bags to keep yourself clean, pair of sneakers and last but not the least a warm pullover or gown for it is often chilly at night.
Though the packing is a little cumbersome but it cannot undermine the benefits. You get to save ample of many that you can invest in many ways like either in eating at a five star or shopping for yourself and the like. Moreover camping teaches you and makes you self-dependent. Even those men who do not do any household work at all are seen cleaning plates while camping. Is that great for their wives!
Some of the well known camping grounds in America are-Yellowstone National Park,
Isle Royal National Park (known for its aura of tranquility), Great Basin National Park
(Beautiful caves and fishing), Dry Tortugas National Park (snorkeling, scuba diving,
Tropical fish and wildlife), Point Reyes National Park (horse riding, kayaking, biking),
Greta Canyon National Park, Joshua Tree National Park (mystifying mountain ranges), Denali National Park (skiing and snow shoeing) and so forth.

Vacationing Tips to Protect You and Your Family
A.I.C. Insurance Agency Offers Vacation Tips to Protect You and Your Family
Milwaukie, OR Feb. 28, 2005 – Vacations should be a time spent having fun and relaxing. By taking a few extra precautions while traveling, you can prevent yourself, or your friends and family, from being a victim of crime. A.I.C. Insurance Agency and Travelers, a leading provider of auto and homeowners insurance, offer these safety tips to help you, your friends and family have a fun and safe vacation:
• Do not carry large amounts of cash. Use traveler’s checks that can usually be replaced within 24 hours.
• Use ATMs only during daylight hours. If you must use one after dark, try and find a well-lit, busy area such as a grocery store.
• Leave copies of trip information with a friend or family member at home. This includes credit card numbers, passport numbers, plane tickets and itinerary
information, and phone numbers for your credit card companies.
• Keep credit cards, cash, passport, and plane tickets separate.
• Wear a “money purse” underneath your clothes that contains passport, phone numbers for credit card companies, and a small amount of cash, should your wallet get stolen.
• Carry a “dummy” wallet in your back pocket containing $20 which, if you were to be mugged, would satisfy the robber without draining all of your funds.
• Have your mail delivery stopped while on vacation. If you have a neighbor
retrieving mail and newspapers while you are away, ensure that they will be there
every day. Nothing says an empty house like a stack of mail or newspapers at the front door.
• Do not assume your personal documents are safe in your hotel room. Lock them in a safe while the room is unoccupied.
• Have separate ATM, debit and credit cards and make sure that you need a PIN for in-store use of a debit card, not only for the ATM.
• For women, do not hang purses on the back of bathroom stall doors. It is very easy for someone to reach over the door and grab it.
• Leave your regular checkbook at home. If your checks are stolen, it’s difficult to cancel them and track their use as you would a credit card. Plus, if someone reorders checks in your name, you won’t realize it until you receive your bank statement.
• Only carry credit cards that you will need on vacation. Leave cards for particular department stores or things like gas cards at home.
• Remember that your credit card number is on your plane tickets, so treat them as you would a credit card.
• Cover ATM key pads when entering your PIN. People could be watching over your shoulder, or even from a distance, and then later attempt to steal your wallet and use this information.
• Use common sense when traveling. Do not draw attention to yourself as a tourist. Avoid reading maps in a busy, high-traffic area, carry your camera in a tote bag rather than the carrying case, and do not flaunt large amounts of cash when removing money from your wallet or pocket.
Your homeowners, condo or renters insurance policy may cover loss or damage of your personal items while traveling, up to specified limits. Take time before you go on vacation to compile a personal property inventory, which helps determine replacement cost of lost items. Document each item’s year of purchase and original price. Items that may exceed policy limits, such as jewelry, cameras and golf equipment, need additional protection such as Travelers valuable items insurance. To ensure you have the coverage you need, contact your independent insurance agent.

The Rules of Dating, Vacationing and Compatibility
Vacations, distant destinations and a new amour conjure the unexpected. The insecurity of unfamiliar surroundings can surface irreconcilable differences amongst young love in bloom.
In Corona beer commercials, romantic getaways are depicted as tranquil solitude during a breathtaking sunset. Beyond the scenic print ads of exotic travel escapes, one story is left untold. It is the reality of pandemonium. Traveling can make or break a new relationship.
Very rarely, do travel agencies, reservationists and airlines purport the trials and tribulations of vacation inconveniences:
• Lost or stolen luggage • Delayed itineraries • Security gate groping • Language barriers • Missing reservations • Overbooked flights • Crowded check-ins
Despite the frustrations and aggravations of travel, it may serve as a fast study on the future of a potential significant other. Vacationing has a way of revealing one's true colors.
It was a weekend trip to NYC when Jenny Aldridge (28) found out that her lover was a manic depressant who failed to take medication for treat his chemical imbalance. "When Kevin was not under the influence of alcohol he was unbearable. I'm relieved that I found out early. It saved me months of another failed relationship," shares Aldridge.
"My trip to the Greek Isles was the most hellish" trip, EVER" states Landon McDaniels (36). He had been dating Shawna for 2 months when he invited her to set sail from Santorini to other neighboring islands of Greece. Since, McDaniels was chartering a boat with a crew of two other people, he assumed his girlfriend would pitch in with some of the onboard duties. "Little did I know, I was dating a prima Donna who whined about everything…and sulked in the cabin most of the day," articulates Landon.
Traveling with a new significant other does not always represent a nightmare situation. When Stephanie and Greg went to Paris together, they learned how they shared a curiosity for non-touristy spots. Their compatibility was depicted in their similar traveling style.
The author of "Dating For I Do," Holly Bentz, recommends taking an early vacation within the first three months of the relationship. A 48-hour getaway can be very telling compared with the time spent on a regular date. While new lovers may think that they are altering their lifestyle during travel, they really are not.
Consequently, it is appropriate to be respectful of another's life choices. Most couples place high expectations on the romantic getaway. "Unfortunately, the relationship faux pas can cause excessive undue stress. The best approach entails fairly evaluating a prospective significant other for the bigger picture, the fate of the relationship," states dating expert, Bentz.
Live by the following travel strategies to make your romantic getaway an escape filled with compatibility:
• Book a short trip. Instead of opting for the week in Santo Domingo, try the weekend getaway.
• Learn about their travel style. If your vacationing partner prefers to schedule every available minute with activities and you are more of a spontaneous traveler - set some guidelines.
• Plan moderate itinerary in advance. Formulize a few common interest activities to include in the getaway.
• Make light of underlying differences. Before making an issue of incidental situations, make light of conflicts. Remember, that you are traveling with someone you care about versus Satan's reject.
• To quell conflicts be flexible. Conflicts may arise from bringing a lap top, to watching a soap opera or playing video games. The idea is to diffuse any simmering differences.
• Spend a little time apart. Keeping the peace can sometimes mean ducking away to the driving range or spa.
• Mind your P's and Q's in the restroom. The bathroom may represent a battlefield for many couples. To accommodate the other person, use the hotel bathroom, wake up a little earlier to use the facility or simply request a double sink.
• Avoid altercations. On the trip, skirt arguments and make minor notes about essential differences. The disparities are indicators of the future endurance of your relationship.
Whatever you discover about your prospective significant other, remember to keep it all in its proper perspective: "You are on vacation to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy!"

Enjoy Some Vacation Time at the Alabama Theatre in Myrtle Be
The Alabama Theatre in Myrtle Beach isn't named with the state of Alabama in mind, but rather with country group legends Alabama who started their career in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
When they'd had enough of the nomadic life, and wanted to set down more fixed roots, it was back to Myrtle Beach they returned and the Alabama Theatre Myrtle Beach was created.
Built in 1991 on the Barefoot Landing complex, the Alabama Theatre in Myrtle Beach offers a great place for an evening's entertainment. Throughout the year top country stars and other performers take to the Alabama's stage, but they have two main shows which make up the bulk of the ticket sales for the theatre.
Firstly there's the "One" show. This show is one for anyone who loves music! Showcasing songs across the entire spectrum of music, from bluegrass to Broadway hits and almost every genre in between, the show plays weeknights and Saturday nights throughout a major portion of the year and would be a great show to take the whole family to see!
November brings a change of main show when the "One" show takes a break and the "One for the Holidays" takes over for a two month run. Billed as "The South's Grandest Holiday Show" this show hosts an array of special effects, talented performers, skilled backstage people who've all come together to produce a magical show which showcases the Holiday music people love in a new package that will entertain and enchant.
Sprinkled throughout the year are special performances by some of the most famous names in country music! During 2005 Kenny Rogers will take to the stage at the Alabama Theatre, as will one of the first ladies of country music Loretta Lynn.
Other performers will include Billy Rae Cyrus, The Drifters and The Temptations. Check out the http://www.alabama-theatre.com or ring their booking office for more information. If you are fan of any of these great performers, or your partner is, a mini vacation in Myrtle Beach would be a perfect gift!
Spend the day relaxing the sun, or playing a round or two of golf, enjoy a leisurely meal at the Barefoot Landing complex, and then wander across to the nearby Alabama Theatre in Myrtle Beach to be entertained by your favorite singers, or to watch a great show. What a perfect way to celebrate a special occasion!
And don't forget to visit http://www.myrtle-beach-guide.com for all the information you'll need for a great Myrtle Beach vacation.

Boat Timeshares - A Unique Vacationing Experience
If you’ve dreamed of sailing the seven seas, but don’t necessarily have the bank account to buy a luxury vessel, don’t despair. There are ways to make that dream happen without breaking your bank.
Boat timeshares offer a unique vacationing experience for almost any budget. By getting involved in a timeshare, you have the right to use that luxury vessel to make your dreams come true, but you alone are not solely responsible for all the expenses. Timeshares provide an excellent way for someone not willing or able to take on the expense of purchasing a great vacationing boat themselves to still experience the adventure of life on the water.
A variety of companies offer would-be Captain Ahab’s the ability to take to the sea without shelling out a lot of cash. Boat timeshare companies and programs are readily available and accessible across the Internet. Boating timeshare companies are active all over the world with even some finding their homes on America’s Great Lakes.
Basically, a boat timeshare offers a sailor a chance to buy into a piece of a boat for a season. Similar to a yacht club, but without all the expenses of owning your own yacht, these programs lets sailors sail minus the headaches. Some programs allow members to purchase blocks of time over the course of a sailing season to use a boat. Many programs work by giving several “skippers” the same boat during the sailing season. These skippers book multiple sail times, show up, sail, have a blast and return the boat for the next skipper to take over.
While boat timeshares provide everything needed to sail, members still are responsible for making sure the boat is in good condition when it’s returned. Swabbing the deck isn’t out of the question. However, many timeshare programs will even go as far as to include maintenance, fuel and so on in the initial price. This leaves the member responsible for simply safely piloting the vessel, keeping it clean and enjoying their high seas adventure with their family and friends for a fraction of the price of owning a yacht themselves. The insurance, boat licensing and other worries are generally handled by the timeshare company itself.
For those who lack the skills to man their own vessels, many boat timeshares will provide a crew including a captain, instructor, and/or cook at a small additional cost. One company in particular, Trade Winds Cruise Club, offers all-inclusive cabin rentals and is RCI’s (Resorts Condominiums International) only Caribbean yachting affiliate. As an RCI Member, you have the option of exchanging your timeshare week for a cabin space onboard crewed catamaran charters.
So, what is pricing like for these nautical adventures? Not bad considering a luxury boat can cost thousands and thousands of dollars. And even better when you consider buying your own boat doesn’t include fuel, maintenance, licensing and insurance costs and so on! A timeshare that covers an entire boating season can cost upwards of $7,000, a reasonable expense considering the headaches removed by taking part in such a venture.
To learn more about boat timeshares and the unique vacation opportunities they provide, just log on to the Internet and visit locations such as http://www.atimesharesz.com/boattimeshare to do a thorough search. A variety of companies with different programs and options are operating in a bevy of locations around the world.

Alaska Cruises offer breathtaking scenery for your vacations
Alaska cruises can offer some of the most pristine, natural beauty you'll ever see on your vacations. Beautiful crystal clear inlets of water found no where else in the world. Icebergs and sheer cliff walls rising thousands of feet into the air. Choosing from among the many Alaska cruises will be easy and fun; making your vacations an exciting and rewarding experience.
Deciding which of many Alaska cruises is right for your vacations.
One thing to decide is when you want to go. Many people favor the month of August because the weather and temperature are favorable to being outdoors. Another consideration to keep in mind for Alaska cruises and vacations is which direction on the ship you'd like your cabin to face. Inside cabins are less expensive while outside facing cabins offer the convenience of stepping onto your balcony and seeing the many splendid sights. Dressing warmly and comfortably is another consideration, especially if you're susceptible to being cold at night. Also, be sure and bring along a good pair of binoculars to see the sights. Many times your cruise ship will pass by a stunningly close to an immense block of ice; you'll want to see every detail that up close.

Vacation Hassles? Take a Picture!
Looking for some fiction to read this summer? Try a travel brochure. Those beautiful glossy pamphlets promise you the time of your life, with nonstop fun. To illustrate their promises, they show pictures of perfect people with perfect bodies and perfect teeth, frolicking and smiling. No one has sunburn, sore feet or indigestion. The children always look squeaky clean, and they never have tantrums. There are no mosquitoes, no flat tires, no thunderstorms . . . and no inner brats!
Meanwhile, back on earth, your actual vacation may look something like this:
1. You've been driving for several hours, when you notice that the "check engine" light on your dashboard is illuminated. You get off the highway at the next exit and find a garage that can fix the car, but it won't be finished till the next day. And it's going to cost a small fortune.
2. You're on a camping trip. It's been raining for 2 days straight. The campground is one big mud puddle. And your matches are wet.
3. You splurge for a resort hotel, but when you get there they can't find your reservation, and the hotel is fully booked. You produce your travel agent's confirmation, but the reservations clerk merely says, "I'm sorry. There's nothing I can do."
4. Everything is crowded. You have to wait in line for food, for transportation, even for the bathroom. Other people are loud, pushy and rude.
You'll never see situations like these in a travel brochure. But I'll bet you've experienced at least one of them on your own trips. I know I have. And in retrospect I realize that my inner brat made things seem a lot worse than they were. It blamed and complained, making not only me miserable, but my family as well.
No vacation is perfect. Inevitably something will go wrong. Aside from real tragedies (which, fortunately, are rare) most vacation hassles are about inconvenience, bad weather and minor mishaps -- all temporary, none life-changing.
Predicaments such as delayed flights, sold-out attractions, small injuries and unexpected downpours can ruin your vacation if you allow your inner brat to gripe and grumble over every annoyance.
Instead, try this: Take a picture. Capture the mishaps. They may turn out to be your most precious and amusing memories.
I recall a sweltering summer day many years ago, when we ran out of gas on the highway because my husband was sure we had enough to bypass one rest stop and get to the next. He was right - almost. We made it just past the sign that said, "Fuel, Food: 2 miles." Instead of yelling at him with a thousand I-told-you-sos, I wish I had taken a picture of him standing in front of that sign, apologetically holding an empty gas can. It would have been the perfect souvenir from our trip.
If you happen to encounter frustrations on your upcoming vacation, get out your camera and take a picture. Looking through the lens will give you a less emotional, more objective view of the situation. Plus, you’ll have a souvenir that will later remind you that crises have a way of working themselves out.

TheVacationSaver.com Does It Backwards
January 19, 2005, Norfolk, VA – This month, TheVacationSaver.com is expanding to the print arena with TheVacationSaver.com magazine, which shall contain full-page ads for a small number of resorts. TheVacationSaver.com magazine will complement the website and is scheduled to hit stores later this month. A recent Webtrends statistic from January 2005 shows that TheVacationSaver.com website has already been visited by over 80,000 unique visitors . Those numbers are expected to increase upon the advent of TheVacationSaver.com magazine.
TheVacationSaver.com magazine will be distributed in over 250 Wal-Marts and other select retailers throughout the eastern U.S. With an average weekly walk-through rate of more than 119,000 shoppers with an average household income of $62,500, Wal-Mart offers resort managers the largest lead base of high quality prospects. TheVacationSaver.com website and magazine together will strive to uphold the positive image and degree of success that is expected of every other Trader Electronic Media company.
For the first time ever, Trader Electronic Media (TEM) has initiated a website before the publication of its corresponding magazine. Trader Publishing’s magazines have always been springboards for Internet websites like CycleTrader.com, ForRent.com and HarmonHomes.com. However, TheVacationSaver.com is starting with a different approach. This business is swimming against the current by debuting TheVacationSaver.com magazine after the launch of the website.
TheVacationSaver.com recently launched in August 2004 as a website that connects resort managers to prospective timeshare buyers by advertising inexpensive vacation specials. This website’s vacation deals were originally featured on a subsidiary page of TimeShareSaver.com, which TEM launched in 2003. Due to the enormous response of visitors to this page, it was discovered that advertising vacation offers is a lucrative business and the decision was made to create a business to accommodate those online travelers.
According to Henry Yates, the Business Development Manager of TheVacationSaver.com, “it’s ground-breaking that we’re starting a process that is unorthodox compared to the way that Trader Publishing and Trader Electronic Media establish each new business. Going against the norm is a bold move on our part, however, I have high hopes that the results will prove to be rewarding.”
As a division of Trader Electronic Media, TheVacationSaver.com is part of a network of over 15 websites including ForRent.com, HarmonHomes.com, RoomSaver.com and RentJillsHouse.com, all accessible at TraderOnline.com. TraderOnline.com ranks in the top 200 most highly trafficked websites with over 7 million visitors each month. To view vacation offers, click on www.TheVacationSaver.com.
Trader Publishing Company, the nation’s largest publisher of photo-classified publications, publishes 680 classified ad publications, which reach 80 percent of the U.S. population. These publications serve over 175 major markets and are distributed at approximately 200,000 points nationwide with a combined circulation exceeding 9 million per week. Such publications include Auto Trader, Boat Trader, Harmon Homes, For Rent, Employment Guide magazines and more.

Hotels aren't the only place you can stay on vacation!!!
Today, we as travelers have a ton of options to consider. Where to go, how to get there, where to stay, what to take, how to plan, where to find deals… You get the point. Well, this article is to introduce you to options on where to stay other than a hotel.
Hotels are a great option. They can be just what you need for your trip, especially if it's just two of you. You can go with big chains that are well trusted or small chains that may take some digging to ensure you get a nice, clean, affordable hotel room with everything you need. However, if you travel with a number of people or as a family, a hotel room can get cramped, lack privacy, and get expensive when you upgrade to suites and add extra amenities (like a kitchenette).
Hotels though are great because it is easy to find a lot of good deals with all the viable travel sites out there.
But, you do have other options….
**How about a condo? Condos are great, and in some destinations the main option. Condos can be small or big. They offer added space, extra amenities, prime locations, and at prices that are comparable to hotel rooms.
For example, we stayed in a quaint (small) condo in Miami. We rented it for only $400 for the week. It was perfect for my wife and I. The beds pulled down out of the wall, we had a very very clean room, private entrance to the place and beaches, quiet area, 2 pools, a kitchen with equipment, a nice bathroom, cable, and gorgeous view of the Atlantic. It was our "love shack" for the week and much cheaper by almost $200 than any hotel in the area.
**Rent a home. These are now great with the way real estate is nowadays. If you are traveling with a large group, then this may be your best choice. Get everything you need or live like luxury in a beachfront home for your vacation.
Once, 18 of our family members went to Florida and had to rent a home. It was not on the Ocean, but on a bay. It was perfect. It had 3 levels, a hot tub, pool, 4-5 bedrooms, plenty of room, amenities, and lots of fun. We had a great time together since everyone lives in different parts of the country. It was very affordable once split up 4 ways also.
**Resorts and All-inclusive. This is an excellent option for families or if you don't want to worry about reaching into your pocket. All-inclusive seems to be diminishing in the US, but you can find it abroad and is typically the best choice. Resorts are great for those who want to spend quality time together, get plenty of privacy and space, and enjoy various activities like golf, fishing, things for the kids, spas, etc…
**Time Shares. These are growing tremendously in the traveling world. Time-shares are great if you use them. You pay a fee upfront and once a year to utilize a time-share. There are various types, so you would want to do your research. Buying a time-share is similar to buying a home in that you don't want to take the decision lightly.
My wife's parents have one and love it. They can go anywhere they want as long as they stay in the designated places. We used theirs for our honeymoon in Palm Beach, Florida. It was first-class all the way.
If you and your family travel at least once a year, consider looking into a time-share.
**Camping and RV parks. With the way campgrounds and RV parks are set up nowadays, the term "rough it" doesn't exactly come to mind. You can get almost everything at a campground that you'd get in a hotel. They are cheap, live out in nature for a week, and have a great time. There are a few things to consider if you are a novice to camping, so you'll want to do some homework before you decide on this as an option.
**Houseboats. Live on the water for your trip. This is, yet another option to choose from. My aunt has lived on a houseboat in Florida for years and loves it. This is something many don't even think of, but look into it, you may not go back to staying on land for any future trips.
We hope this article has helped shed some light on where you might stay on your vacations. Villas, Cabins, and other type choices should be considered for specific destinations and vacations.

Rehoboth Beach For A Vacation Of Fun In The Sun
With summer just around the corner, how are you doing with your vacation plans? Have you ever considered visiting the Delaware Beaches? Beside being known as the "First State", the Rehoboth Beach area in Delaware has also been referred to as "The Nation's Summer Capital".
This pouplar and fun beach resort is located on the Atlantic Coast. Because it's only only two hours from Washington, D.C., Baltimore, MD, Philadelphia, PA, and the South Jersey area, you will enjoy a vacation destination that offers a calmness and welcoming feeling, in a relaxing, slower paced family atmosphere.
Accommodations run the gamut and include anything from quaint bed and breakfasts to fine hotels and everything in between. Apartments, condominiums, cottages, and private homes are just a few of the options to choose from. The local realtors offer services to assist you in finding the ideal lodging for your stay.
There is an abundance of food choices. Whether you decide to eat at your hotel or go exploring, each eatery has their own specialty. Menus range from the local catch of the day to vegetarian. The area is also well known for it's shopping opportunities. There are many local artisans, as well as factory outlets where you can really stretch your vacation dollars.
Another thing that Rehoboth Beach is famous for is its mile-long boardwalk. Many people come down just to walk the boards and watch the ocean waves. You can also bike ride or jog or just hang out and people-watch. If you are lucky enough you can catch a glimpse of dolphins, porpoises, and other wildlife, such as pelicans. Other activities which are great for the kids as well as adults include arcades, musical entertainment, miniature golf and the many festivals that schedule Rehoboth Beach for their venues.
For those of you who are into more natural surroundings, there is Cape Henlopen State Park close by in Lewes, Delaware The open shoreline of Cape Henlopen State Park is perfectly suited for swimming, crabbing, fishing, walking or just soaking up the sun. The highest sand dune between Cape Hatteras and Cape Cod is located on this beach. This "great dune" towers more than 80 feet above the shoreline.
There is a restored World War II Observation Tower, if you are inclined, where the public is able to see the area from a bird's eye view. The story behind the tower is fascinating. Bird lovers will want to keep an eye out for ospreys and hawks. The protected piping plover and bald eagles have also been spotted occasionally.
Finding another location that matches this resort area's variety and charm would be a challenging task, because it really has everything you would want or need to have a fun and relaxing vacation. Do yourself a favor and visit"The Nation's Summer Capital". You'll be glad you did!

Unforgettable White Mountains Vacations – The Most Scenic 10
This amazing drive through the White Mountains of New Hampshire has a gorgeous vista at every turn, oodles and oodles of family vacation fun, and a visit to the home of the world wind speed record. Just keep reading to discover a remarkable trip on your White Mountains vacation.
The White Mountain National Forest is about a 4-hour drive north of Boston, Massachusetts. Deep in New Hampshire, the mountains are part of the Appalachian Mountain system that covers the Eastern United States. Within the forest park is the White Mountains Trail, and it’s a drive that’s arguably the most scenic 100 miles in New England. And so you’re in for a real treat. Let’s get started…
White Mountain National Forest Visitor Center…
Most people begin the drive from the White Mountains Visitor Center in North Woodstock on route 112 and head out on route 3N to the Franconia Notch area.
If you’re traveling with kids then you’ll want to pencil dates back in this area at the Clark’s Trading Post, and The Whale’s Tale attractions -- both in Lincoln on route 3N. At Clark’s you can see Bears, ride a steam train, climb towers, and generally keep the young ones happy. The Whale’s Tale is a water park with a wave pool, picnic areas, changing areas, and live entertainment.
Back on the road head north towards Franconia Notch. This is a good stretch of road to have your camera at the ready. I can’t list all the stops you can make, but I’ll mention just two of my favorites in this area of the White Mountains.
The Flume Gorge was formed over 200 million years ago when the White Mountains were molten rock. It just so happens in this area when it cooled quickly, softer material was forced into the fractures that formed. These fractures wore down with natural erosion much quicker that the surrounding granite rock -- leaving the gorge. And so now you get to enjoy a geological wonder at the base of beautiful Mount Liberty.
The Gorge has a visitor center where your tour starts and ends. And don’t forget to check out the covered bridge which crosses the Pemigewasset River -- it’s one of the oldest on the White Mountains Trail.
The famous attraction you can’t see anymore…
You’re probably thinking why would I mention something you can’t see anymore? Well, the truth is... you can see some of it… but you’ll have to imagine the rest.
The Old Man of the Mountain was a jagged rock profile formed over 10,000 years ago during the last Ice Age.
On May 3, 2003, admirers of the White Mountains region around the world were devastated, when this world famous monument to nature crumbled and crashed to the bottom of Cannon Mountain. How could this be everybody asked? Aren’t rocks and mountains... forever? Well, this incident proves they aren’t. Despite years of gargantuan efforts by many people to preserve it, centuries of the harsh winter climate found in the White Mountains, finally took its toll. It’s worth a stop as you journey on the White Mountains Trail to look and wonder at what once was. To me it’s a reminder that nature doesn’t play favorites.
Continue to head north on Route 3 until it joins Route 302 and follow 302 towards Bretton Woods. Here the mountains get taller and taller until eventually you see the grand daddy of them all -- Mount Washington at 6,288 feet.
The Roof of the White Mountain National Forest…
Depending on time available, you’ve got four options for experiencing this gift in the White Mountain National Forest. Just stare -- hey, there’s nothing wrong with that. Take the Cog Railway train ride to the top. Drive the auto road to the summit -- the quickest way. And of course you can hike if you’re well prepared. But just promise me you won't hike to the top unless you are in great condition and with somebody. This mountain claims lives every year as conditions in this area can deteriorate dramatically within minutes.
Is it worth getting to the summit?
All I’ll say here is… the view is stunning. Visit the museum at the top and learn about the day in 1934 when the highest wind speed ever recorded on earth was taken -- 231 MPH. You’ll learn why its unique geographic position provides the mountain with the worst weather on earth.
Now get back onto Route 302 and head south to the town of North Conway.
The North Conway Scenic Area…
Schedule enough time to take the scenic train, which you board in North Conway. The station is an authentic Victorian style -- it's hard to miss and smack in the town center.
The train rides are ambles and chugs along the scenic valleys and notches in the surrounding area. And as you wind through the rolling Mount Washington valley and squeeze through the notches under the gentle clatter of steel against steel, consider this was once the main form of transportation to the area, from Boston. Most of the trains they run are diesel locomotives now, but on special weekends and during fall they use their popular steam locomotive.
The valley train is a 55-minute roundtrip, and the Notch train is 5 hours. Both have a first-class car if you want to have a different experience. The notch train has a dome car as well, where you get magnificent views of the steep ravines and sheer bluffs. I’m not sure my kids have the patience for a 5-hour train ride so we’ve always taken the shorter excursion. But as I love trains -- especially steam trains -- one day…
The trains usually run from mid-June until mid-October. These scenic trains are very popular throughout the season and they accept advanced reservations for the Notch train and dinning cars on both trains.
This area of the White Mountains is full of shopping outlets, and also has plenty for the kids to do. Story Land and Heritage-New Hampshire, are right next to each other on route 16 in Glen. You and the kids will enjoy themed rides, live shows, play areas, and meeting storyboard characters.
The Kancamagus Highway…
Let’s finish up our White Mountains Trail tour by joining back up with route 112 at Conway and driving back to the White Mountain National Forest Visitor Center.
This part of the trail is known as the Kancamagus highway. There are just numerous photo shoot opportunities along this highway. In fact, your challenge is having enough daylight left in this trip so you can take pictures.
But you can always come back tomorrow, right? No prizes for doing and seeing everything in one day. You are booking your White Mountains vacation for at least a week... aren’t you?

A Guide to Colorado Mountain Vacations
The state of Colorado is one of the premier spots in the United States for mountain vacationing. A Colorado mountain vacation can be the adventure of a lifetime. There are many attractions in Colorado, including skiing, shopping, hiking, biking, and enjoying live entertainment.
A Colorado mountain vacation is a great trip for the whole family. Children can enjoy the outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, and rafting. Families can go shopping together and eat at world-class restaurants. Attractions like Pike’s Peak are designed for the whole family.
Couples looking for a good way to unwind are also advised to check out a Colorado Mountain vacation. Many lodgings are designed for couples, and feature romantic amenities like private hot tubs, candlelit dinners, and breathtaking mountain views.
Colorado includes six of Ski Magazine’s top ten North American ski resorts. Skiing and snowboarding are major attractions of a Colorado mountain vacation. Some of the major ski resorts in Colorado are Vail, Snowmass, Steamboat Springs, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek, and Telluride.
Each of these resorts offers a variety of amenities, including accommodations, ski equipment rental, fine dining, and some of the greatest ski slopes on the continent. Many resorts also offer lessons to beginners, assuring that visitors do not have to be great skiers to have a good time. The slopes range in difficulty from beginner’s level to extremely difficult.
Each ski lodge rates its slopes somewhat differently, but the color code system applies to most of them. A green circle signifies a beginner’s slope, slopes for skiers with intermediate experience are designated by a blue square, and difficult slopes are marked with a black diamond. Some skiers are skilled (and brave) enough to try a double or triple black diamond. The most difficult ski slopes are marked with a yellow exclamation point.
A Colorado Mountain vacation can be the adventure of a lifetime. Aside from all of the breathtaking outdoor activities, visitors can also make the short drive to Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver to catch a concert, or go to the annual Telluride Film Festival. A Guide to Great Smoky Mountain Vacations

Need to find the cheapest Jamaica inclusive vacation?
Need to find the cheapest Jamaica inclusive vacation? Look no further as we provide valuable information on where to find your next Jamaican vacation special!
Jamaica is the Caribbean's third-largest island and it's no surprise that this beautiful lush destination is a popular vacation spot for tourists. It offers action packed holiday value in tropical paradise, and there is no shortage of activities, as you will soon experience. The water sports are exceptional, and the evening dining and vibrant Caribbean music will take you far away to another world.
While you're mapping out the next itinerary to Jamaica, find out the area you're most interested in visiting. The popular hot spots are Montego Bay, Negril, and Ocho Rios. The first step is to do a little searching on the Internet, which of course you're doing right now. Take the time to talk to friends and family that have traveled to any of the destinations above and get their feedback. See who's offering the cheapest deals on inclusive hotels and packages.
In most cases you're going to reach, or be recommended to view a specialty vacation company online, which can provide you quick and easy access to information on Jamaica's travel flights, and what tour company offers a discount package at the lowest price.
Whether you go directly to these travel companies on the Internet, or view the Supplier links on our site, keep one thing in mind. Most of the travel information you will come across will more than likely be exactly the same, because most tap into the same vacation reservations inventory.
The major difference you want to distinguish from one site to the other, is how they handle their search criteria, what services they provide to make your search simple, and what relationship they have with the airlines, and hotels for last minute access to airfares and accommodations for significantly reduced prices.

How to take a Luxury Vacation on a Budget
Who doesn’t dream of someday taking an expensive, fancy vacation? The problem is, money still doesn’t grow on trees and last time I checked, neither do luxury vacations. The great news is that it might be possible to take that dream vacation on your current budget, however tight it may be. Here are a few simple tips that will help in planning an affordable, once in-a-lifetime vacation.
Decide which aspects of your “luxury vacation” are the most important (and which things don’t really matter). For example, for you, the most important thing may be doing expensive activities like visiting theme parks, going on guided tours, skiing, or snowmobiling. To compensate for the big ticket events and activities, cut back on something you won’t mind doing without, like perhaps, fine dining or a five-star hotel.
Ask yourself if you are even going to be in your hotel during the day? If you’ll be lying on the beach, not your bed, then why pay for the nicest hotel? Or maybe luxury is of lesser importance when it comes to grub. Just by reducing your food budget by avoiding expensive restaurants can really save you a load of cash. Consider using that small fridge in the hotel (you’ve always wondered why they had it) by visiting the local…dare I say it…grocery store. If you must eat out, then look for less expensive dining options.
Where To Stay
When making reservations, check discount travel websites like Travelocity, Expedia, Hotwire, and Orbitz. You can sort hotel options by price listing, which is very helpful in comparing options. These websites also offer discount packages when you buy the flight and hotel from the same site.
If you want to really save money on lodging, note that luxury destinations often have locals who are willing to rent out their houses or condos for a much cheaper price. These will be away from other tourists, have a fabulous location, and you may even have access to a kitchen and more space. Also consider a mom and pop-type Bed n’ Breakfast hotel.
Travel
We’ve all heard of these discount websites, so use them!! Just as a helpful hint, if you buy discount airline tickets during high traffic seasons, you could get bumped to a less-than-desirable flight instead of the direct flight you originally purchased. In this case, the price wouldn’t change, but you may lose valuable vacation time! It may be worth the risk, or the hassle, but remember; even the discount prices are more expensive during peak tourist seasons. Instead, consider traveling during the “off” season.
Transportation
There are a few tricks to renting a car which may fall in your favor. For example, before renting, call your credit card’s customer service hotline (on the back of your card) and ask if the card’s features include car rental “loss and damage” coverage or other insurances. If so, then you may be able to waive the car rental’s insurance, saving around $10-15 dollars per day, which can definitely add up if you are staying several days or even weeks.
Some vacations may allow for an alternative mode of transportation. If you are planning a trip to Europe, Africa, Argentina, for example, try taking a train. In Europe, the “Eurail” offers 1st Class tickets for weekly use starting at around $33 a day. This may be cheaper than driving all over Europe in a rental car, paying for gas as you go.
Other Helps
If you are planning visits to theme parks or museums-- check the particular website of the place you are going. They often offer great discounts, printable coupons, or package deals.
If a fancy cruise has always been one of your dreams, consider this: did you know that if you sign up for a cruise as early as possible, it is likely you are going to get bumped to upper class lodging? This is because most people taking a cruise want the cheaper packages, and the lower class rooms fill up quickly.

Fun things to do on your vacation!!!
That's the intent of this article, to wake up some ideas in your head, and plan for things to do in Florida and any of your travels.
When we venture down to Florida or anywhere for that fact of the matter, we first figure out what activities we definitely don't want to miss. Here is our list of favorite things to do on vacation…
1. Sit on the beach and play in the ocean. This is a no brainer. We love to walk the beach, bathe in the sun, play in the waves, and watch the beautiful people. What types of things do you do on your vacation? What activities do you have planned? Do you relax, go active, or a little of both? 2. Play golf. Golf is a great game. There are excellent golf courses all over the world to choose from and you can even plan an entire golf vacation.
3. Go fishing. Deep sea fishing or fishing from a pier is a blast. If you have never done this try it once, you'll love it.
4. Other sporting activities like scuba, snorkeling, water skiing, parasailing, renting jet skis, or whatever. There are a ton of water activities to choose from.
5. Day trips and tours are awesome choices. Rent a boat for the day. Take a barefoot cruise. Venture over to Orlando and go to Disney World or any theme park. Dinner cruises, exploring, hiking, tours at local sites, and anything else that you can think of.
6. Go shopping! Yes, the ladies will love this one and probably already have it planned. I hate to shop, but it is actually fun when I am on vacation. It wears me out though. Take some extra money and visit the local shops, find souvenirs, and spend some of that hard-earned money.
7. Drive around. We have rented convertibles or motorcycles for a couple of days and just explored the area. One time, we went from Miami to Key West and spent the day there. Another time, we traveled up the A1A highway along the Atlantic Coast of Florida, enjoying the luxurious homes, yachts, and views. You can even do this as a weekend getaway. Find a cool spot that's only 6 hours or less away and take off. We always have fun doing this.
8. Take in local entertainment, events, restaurants, and such. Go dancing, find the best watering holes, do something romantic, party likes its 1999. Remember, you are on vacation and it's time to have some fun and do stuff you don't usually get to do at home.
The list is as endless as your imagination. These are just a few general ideas that we always plan on doing. Be creative and try new things.
Enjoy your trip, have a good time, and tell us your stories!!!

For fun in the sun, take a Beach Vacation!
A beach vacation is perfect for somebody who wants to relax, put their feet up, and soak up some rays. Sure, you could go to an amusement park, but you would spend most of your time standing in line. Wouldn’t it be more fun to have a day on the beach where you can soak up some rays, take a swim, or do whatever you want? In addition, most hotels by the beach are much cheaper than those by major amusement parks. When you add up the lower prices of hotels, cheaper food, and the lack of an entrance fee, it is easy to see how a beach vacation is much more economical than any other type of vacation. While some of the more famous beaches, like a Myrtle Beach vacation rental, are costly most beaches provide fun in the sun for no charge.
Safety tips for a Beach Vacation.
If you don’t know how to stay safe on a beach, it can be very dangerous. Here are some tips on how to stay safe on a beach vacation: Know the tides. Incoming tides separate rocks from headlands and the shore. Avoid the temptation of strolling out to an interesting rock without knowing when the tide rolls back in. Free tide tables are readily available at state park offices, information centers and many shops and motels. Another safety tip is to be careful around high steep cliffs. Many beaches have natural forming cliffs. Why these do make fine lookout points, be aware that the cliff edge may be unstable.

Advantage of Renting a Condo While on Vacation
So you may be asking yourself, why would I want to rent a condo while on vacation? Although condos are a little more expensive than a normal hotel would be, you get more included with the full package, and when you really break the price down you are getting more bang for your buck.
PRIVACY - there is always someone there to see you when you leave or return and with whom.
CONVENIENCE - staying in a condominium not only gives you the same flexibility as you would have in your own home but also you are usually fairly close to the attractions.
Some of the things that may be included with your condominium is: Central Air/heat, Washer and Dryer in Unit, Kitchen is fully supplied; swimming pools & spa, Clubhouse with game room and fitness center, Cable television in bedroom and living room, DVD players, big screen TV's.
The idea of being able to have more than four people is as aspect that will go far. No more having to get two rooms for a family or group of six. Many places also provide some sort of Internet access whether it be wireless for your laptop or a provided computer system. Babysitting and/or maid service can be provided as well.
One of the other advantages that really our attention is that you have the comforts of being able to cook, do laundry and just relax. You can choose from one or more bedrooms, and can get extra beds if needed.
Most of the rental condos that we found will allow you to put six people in a one bedroom.
PRICE - if you are planning your vacation either as one family, or as a two family group then the cost per person of renting a condominium home is quite small; if you vacation on your own, or as a couple, then renting a condominium home may well work out to be more expensive.
Some people will try to weigh the cost of a stay in a condominium against a couple of weeks in a low budget motel. There is really no comparison, especially when you look at the advantages and cost over the long run, including being able to cook instead of eating out every meal. Some motels and hotels actually work out to be more expensive, especially if you choose to stay in a suite.
Taking everything into consideration staying in a condominium while on vacation may be the best choice you have ever made.
